Jennifer Tran’s art practice considers how language, translations and intergenerational stories shape both personal and public spaces. It is inherently collaborative, drawing on the various skills and interests of family. With a background in architecture and curation, Jennifer focuses on understanding the domestic space and finding meaning in the organization of personal objects. However, her broader interests center around themes of migration, labor and aspiration.

Her collaborative public art projects also draw from community narratives and histories, making use of text and language as a way to engage the public.

Born in 1981 in Toronto, Canada, Jennifer is currently based in Long Beach, California.
