Popstar and Hugs & Kisses

Popstar is a golden sculpture made of inflatable kaleidoscopes pointed in all directions. Participants saw distorted views of each other and their surroundings by peering through the tubes. Hugs & Kisses consists of large inflatable components of the game Tic Tac Toe. Intended for unprescribed use, the size and lightness of the pieces inspire a range of play and rest. Urban in intention, these inflatables were installed in Lincoln Park in Downtown Long Beach for the week-long duration of the Long Beach Walls and Art Renzei festivals.
