The Folded LA bench is a functional artwork that celebrates the diversity of Los Angeles County’s neighborhoods. The silhouette of the artwork spells out L A in continuous, folded letterforms to symbolize the interconnectedness of these communities. The folded design also encourages playful social interaction. This artwork is one of a series installed in parks throughout LA County.

Folded LA is designed in collaboration with James Shen of People’s Architecture Office.
