Long Beach Lights

The Promenade, Long Beach, CA

Four solar-powered sculptural lights in Downtown Long Beach bring vibrancy to The Promenade, a well- traversed pedestrian street. The lights provide surprise. From below, their umbrella form reads “Long Beach” in cursive. The sculptures are transportable, and will be moved to different locations in the city.

Long Beach Lights was designed in collaboration with James Shen of People’s Architecture Office.

Commissioned by the Downtown Long Beach Alliance and the Long Beach Difference.
